#6 - Windows and Mirrors with Beth Farr
Show Notes

On this week's episode, Beau sits down to chat with dear friend and kindergarten teacher, Beth Farr (she/her). Beth opens up about what inspired her to create an all-inclusive classroom, how important it is to incorporate diversity in early learning, and how we as adults have the responsibility to model social justice for the next generation. The pair discuss queer-inclusive children's books, how literature can create a safe space, and why the language we use matters. This episode is an incredibly educational take on how simplifying the message, can sometimes mean the most. Books referenced in this episode from https://socialjusticebooks.org include: Jack (not Jackie) By Erica Silverman; And Tango Makes Three By Justin Richardson and Peter Parnell, Illustrated by: Henry Cole; Heather Has Two Mommies By Leslea Newman, Illustrated by Laura Cornell; and Red, A Crayon's Story By Michael Hall.
